Kubra Sait Reflects on Her Journey at the IAA Olive Crown Awards

Mumbai, April 9: Actress Kubra Sait is currently in the spotlight for her role in the recently released web series “Sankalp.” In this series, she portrays DSP Parveen Sheikh, a dedicated and strong police officer committed to her duty.

Recently, Kubra attended the 16th edition of the IAA Olive Crown Awards. She shared some moments from the event on her Instagram, expressing her emotions about the occasion. She wrote, “16 years ago, I arrived in Mumbai.”

She continued, “On Wednesday night, I participated in the 16th edition of the IAA Olive Crown Awards. I had the opportunity to host its second edition in 2011, which was a significant platform for me. I have been a part of the IAA core committee since the early days of my career.”

Kubra reflected, “I returned to that same stage as a guest on Wednesday night. The Olive Crown stage has witnessed my entire journey. It has allowed me to try, make mistakes, learn, and find my voice. Swami Sir, Ramesh Sir, JD, Megha Tata, and many others have always kept this platform open and honest for me. Such an environment fosters personal growth.”

She emphasized that the Olive Crown Awards have always held a special place. They honor those who envision the future and bring about change through creativity. Kubra stated, “Being in that room never feels small. I have always felt inspired and believed I am part of the change… I have a responsibility too.”

Kubra noted that Wednesday night felt different. Upon arriving at Taj Lands End and seeing her guest card, she realized she was no longer an anchor but had completed a full circle in her journey. The hugs and moments of love she received there resonated with her. “I entered that room where I truly feel I belong,” she added.

In a light-hearted manner, Kubra mentioned, “Yes, I went on stage and asked a simple question – ‘Do mangroves grow back?’ I enjoy feeling safe enough to ask questions. My curiosity and sense of being felt like being the chief guest. That’s what is coming to the forefront now.”

In conclusion, she expressed, “This stage feels like home to me. Thank you for inviting me back.”
