New Delhi, April 9: Former MP Dr. Arun Kumar has shared his views on the political dynamics in Bihar. He expressed support for Nitish Kumar’s decisions but personally believes they may not be the best choices. Dr. Kumar acknowledged Nitish Kumar’s contributions to the legacies of Jay Prakash Narayan, Karpoori Thakur, and Lohia.
In a recent conversation, Dr. Kumar noted that a significant portion of Bihar’s population still has faith in Nitish Kumar. He mentioned that while the BJP was once a coalition partner, the current circumstances are changing, and he is uncertain about the future. He emphasized that Nitish Kumar should remain in power to ensure the NDA’s strength.
Dr. Kumar stated, “From day one, I have said that if anyone can strengthen the JD(U), it is Nishant Kumar. He is young; despite being in power for 20 years, he remains humble. He is not attracted to money or fashion. As a young leader connected to spiritual values, he is a person of integrity.”
Regarding the special session called for women’s reservation, Dr. Kumar criticized the opposition for merely opposing without constructive input. He praised the government under Nitish Kumar for assisting the people and enhancing their skills.
He remarked that good initiatives should be welcomed. The opposition should have implemented women’s reservation when they were in power. Now, they seem focused only on dissent. Dr. Kumar added that any bill aimed at empowering women should be welcomed, as mistakes can only be rectified through change. He does not view the opposition’s outcry positively.
