New Delhi, March 30: BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala has responded to Prime Minister Modi’s remarks about Kerala. He stated that the Prime Minister has effectively exposed the dual character of the Left and Congress parties.
Poonawala remarked that while these parties play politics in Kerala, they are forming alliances in Bengal, Delhi, and across the nation. He noted that both the Left and Congress acknowledge their mutual alliance, with the Communists calling Congress their B team and vice versa. He emphasized that in Kerala, only the BJP represents the A team.
Regarding the ongoing conflict in West Asia, he asserted that foreign policy should be based on national interest, not politics. Thanks to India’s foreign policy, ships are arriving from Hormuz, ensuring energy security. He highlighted that there are one crore Indians in the Gulf, many of whom are from Kerala and South India, and their safety is paramount. He criticized Rahul Gandhi for politicizing successful foreign policy efforts.
Poonawala accused Gandhi of harboring such hatred for the BJP that he is willing to put India in a negative light. He recalled Gandhi’s previous attempts to create panic during the COVID-19 pandemic by spreading misinformation about vaccines. He also criticized Pawan Khera for allegedly spreading falsehoods, including claims about a phone call involving PM Modi and Elon Musk.
He further targeted Congress, stating that their opposition to Modi has led them to act against national interests. He accused them of creating panic while hoarding gas cylinders for black market sales, exposing their “panic-to-profit” model.
On the Bengal elections, Poonawala claimed that the TMC government has looted West Bengal over the past 15 years. He pointed out the high incidence of violence against women in the state, including acid attacks, and criticized Mamata Banerjee’s government for lacking a positive stance on these issues.
