
Bhopal, June 9: Mahesh Kevat, the third candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has officially submitted his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh. This marks the completion of the nomination process for all three vacant seats in the Rajya Sabha. The BJP confidently claims victory for all three seats with strong faith in their candidates’ success.
Voting for the three Rajya Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh is scheduled for June 18. A total of four candidates are contesting in this election. The BJP has fielded Tarun Chugh, Rajneesh Agarwal, and Mahesh Kevat, while the Congress has nominated Meenakshi Natarajan.
Before filing his nomination, Mahesh Kevat offered prayers at a temple located in the BJP’s state office and paid homage to the party’s founding leaders, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Several senior party leaders, including regional organization secretary Ajay Jamwal, were present during the ceremony.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated after the nomination that the BJP has fielded candidates for all three vacant Rajya Sabha seats and is confident that all three will emerge victorious. He emphasized that Lord Ram honored Nishadraj, sending a message of social harmony, which the BJP aims to continue by nominating Mahesh Kevat.
BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal expressed that the party is contesting the elections with full strength and confidence. He asserted that the BJP has sufficient support to secure victory in the Rajya Sabha elections, ensuring the success of all three candidates.
Mahesh Kevat expressed gratitude to the party leadership, stating that nominating an ordinary worker as a Rajya Sabha candidate reflects the BJP’s worker-centric culture. He pledged to meet the expectations of society and live up to the trust placed in him by the party. Political activities in the state regarding the Rajya Sabha elections are now intensifying.
