BJPs Hemant Khandelwal Defends Equal Law Enforcement Amid Political Allegations

Mumbai, July 11: Hemant Khandelwal, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a legislator, stated that the Congress party has a history of fabricating false narratives to evade criminal investigations. He criticized Congress for its habit of undermining law enforcement agencies to gain sympathy.

Recently, Congress state president Jitu Patwari labeled the police detention of his brother as an act of political vendetta. In response, Khandelwal dismissed Patwari’s claims as misleading and an unsuccessful attempt to gain political advantage. He urged Congress to respect the law instead of defending individuals implicated in serious criminal cases. Khandelwal pointed out that the person Congress is supporting has multiple criminal cases against him. He emphasized that under the BJP government, the law applies equally to everyone, and no one is above it.

Khandelwal reiterated that the BJP government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, is committed to a zero-tolerance policy towards crime. He asserted that criminals will not be spared, and while law enforcement carries out its duties, Congress attempts to question the integrity of investigative agencies by alleging political revenge. He urged Congress to abandon the misconception that political positions, family ties, or influence can exempt individuals from the law. In the BJP government, a person’s identity is defined by their actions, not their political connections.

If the police interrogate someone based on available facts, evidence, and legal procedures, labeling it as ‘revenge politics’ is an insult to the justice system and law enforcement agencies. The BJP government maintains a clear principle: the law operates without pressure, influence, or bias. Actions in Madhya Pradesh are based solely on facts, evidence, and the law.
