Asim Arun Defends Uttar Pradeshs Healthcare System Against Akhilesh Yadavs Claims

Lucknow, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Minister Asim Arun recently responded to health-related statements made by Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, asserting that the current healthcare system in the state is better than that of the previous administration.

In an interview in Lucknow, Arun praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing significant reforms aimed at enhancing healthcare services across the country. He noted that initiatives to provide affordable medications and the introduction of generic drugs have greatly benefited the population. Additionally, the Ayushman card program has enabled many residents to access essential health services. Arun emphasized that the state government is focused on improving healthcare for all citizens, without discrimination based on caste.

He highlighted the establishment of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in rural areas to facilitate medical treatment. Young professionals equipped with modern technology are serving as Community Health Officers (CHO) in these centers. The vision of having one medical college per district has been realized, and district hospitals have been strengthened. Through the Ayushman card, numerous families are now eligible for medical coverage of up to 5 lakh rupees.

Arun pointed to the visible development in Kashi and Gorakhpur, asserting that progress is evident throughout Uttar Pradesh. He credited Prime Minister Modi for national development and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for advancements within the state. The transformation of Kashi since 2014 is particularly notable, he remarked.

Addressing Yadav’s claims about Lord Buddha, Arun criticized the former chief minister for what he described as a hollow affection for the figure. He recalled the creation of the Mahamaya Nagar district, which was later divided, questioning why Yadav would disrespect the mother of Buddha. Arun contended that the public’s rejection of Yadav has led him to invoke Buddha’s memory.

Lastly, he mentioned ongoing efforts to strengthen the Buddha Circuit under Chief Minister Adityanath’s leadership, with a budget of 4,200 crore rupees. The Kushinagar International Airport is also nearing completion, marking a significant infrastructure development in the region.
