BJP Targets TMC Ministers Over ED Summons, Claims Corruption at Peak in Bengal

Kharagpur, April 4: BJP leader Dilip Ghosh has responded to the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summons for West Bengal ministers Sujit Bose and Rathin Ghosh. He stated that corruption in Bengal has reached its peak, and everyone involved will be called in for questioning.

Speaking on Saturday, Ghosh remarked, “Central agencies continue their work throughout the year. Corruption in Bengal is at its highest. Therefore, everyone involved will be summoned. The investigation is ongoing, and all should cooperate with the central agencies.”

The ED has summoned ministers Sujit Bose and Rathin Ghosh in connection with a municipal recruitment corruption case. This summons comes amid the ongoing election preparations in West Bengal.

Ghosh also targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying, “Mamata Banerjee currently has both money and police. However, the police are gradually becoming inactive. Previously, the police themselves delivered money. Everyone knows about this. We are also aware that many police officers are involved in this. The deployment of central forces has pleased the people.”

He further stated, “Mamata Banerjee’s situation has deteriorated. Her party is on the verge of failure. That is why she speaks against the CEC and others. She is facing the possibility of defeat.”

The BJP leader also commented on the issue of tainted leaders in the elections. Ghosh asserted, “The biggest criminals and corrupt leaders should not receive security. Once they are provided security, they intimidate even more people. Therefore, if any leader has a good image, they should connect directly with the public.”

He concluded by stating that this time, the assembly elections in West Bengal will be free, fair, and devoid of fear. The people of Bengal will vote openly in the elections.
