New Delhi, February 20: During the ongoing AI Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra held a press conference on Friday, criticizing Congress and Rahul Gandhi in response to protests by Youth Congress workers. He directly labeled Rahul Gandhi as a ‘traitor’ and accused him of tarnishing the country’s image.

Patra stated that the protests by Congress workers were an attempt to damage India’s reputation, sparking outrage among the youth across the nation, particularly within Generation Z.

He reported that four Youth Congress members were arrested for protesting by removing their T-shirts during the AI Summit. The arrested individuals include Krishna Hari (National Secretary of Youth Congress), Kundan Yadav (Bihar Youth Congress Secretary), Ajay Kumar (Uttar Pradesh Youth Congress Vice President), and Narsimha Yadav (National Coordinator of Youth Congress).

According to Patra, these activists had registered for the summit and entered the venue using their barcodes. They wore inside-out T-shirts to conceal the messages printed on them. Later, they stripped off their shirts to initiate their protest and staged a sit-in. Patra claimed that this entire plan was devised at Rahul Gandhi’s residence in the presence of Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.

The BJP spokesperson emphasized that the summit was not a political party event but a global initiative for India. The AI Summit saw participation from over 100 countries, with heads of state from 20 nations and ministers from 60 countries in attendance. Additionally, thousands of global CEOs, researchers, policymakers, and startup representatives were involved, with over 250,000 registered participants and visitors recorded, along with numerous sessions and speakers.

Patra asserted that India had never hosted a global summit of this magnitude before, showcasing the country’s technological capabilities, startup strength, and youth talent. He accused Congress of dishonoring India’s achievements through their protests during the event.

He criticized Congress for failing to recognize that this was not just a BJP event but a celebration of India. He alleged that there was an attempt to undermine India’s accomplishments and the potential of its youth.

Patra also remarked that such protests are unfortunate at a time when India’s global reputation is on the rise, labeling it a conspiracy to tarnish the country’s image.
