BJP Launches Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to Celebrate Modis 25 Years of Public Service

New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a special initiative called the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,” set to run from September 17 to October 17, 2026. This campaign marks the 25th anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service, which began on October 7, 2001, when he took office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

BJP President Nitin Naveen made the announcement during a press conference at the party headquarters in New Delhi. He highlighted Modi’s journey, emphasizing his commitment to the mantra of “service to the nation.” Naveen remarked that when Modi assumed leadership, India was grappling with despair and policy paralysis, often referred to as one of the “Fragile Five” economies. Today, he said, India stands as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.

Naveen recounted Modi’s evolution from a grassroots BJP worker to the “Pradhan Sevak” of the country. He praised Modi’s clear vision and unwavering determination to bring about positive changes in society. Under Modi’s leadership, India has not only focused on development but also strengthened its cultural identity, with initiatives like the Ram Temple and the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.

The BJP President also noted Modi’s impactful tenure as Gujarat’s Chief Minister, where he worked on projects like the Narmada initiative to provide water access and established Gujarat as a hub for development and investment through the “Vibrant Gujarat” initiative.

He observed that the development model of Gujarat is now being emulated by other states. Naveen linked Modi’s developmental philosophy from Gujarat to national policies that aim for broad-scale growth across the country.

He acknowledged the shift in the youth’s mindset since 2014, noting that they have transitioned from being mere job seekers to job creators. Initiatives like “Khelo India” and “Fit India” have empowered the youth to represent India across various fields.

Naveen also emphasized Modi’s commitment to women’s empowerment, citing programs like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and “Lakhpati Didi,” which aim to enhance women’s economic and social participation. He referenced the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which seeks to increase women’s political representation and involvement in policymaking.

Additionally, he mentioned a shift in perspective regarding border villages, which were previously seen as the “last villages” of the country. The government has rebranded them as “India’s first villages,” highlighting their significance and role in national identity.

The campaign will serve to communicate the message of public service and development associated with Modi’s 25 years in public life. Naveen called upon party workers and the general public to participate in the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,” encouraging widespread engagement to celebrate Modi’s commitment to public welfare and nation-building.
