Jaipur, June 16: BJP’s National General Secretary Sunil Bansal has described Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming interaction with students in Kota as a “political drama.” He raised questions about the timing of Gandhi’s visit, which comes just days before the NEET exam.
During his visit to Kota, Bansal spoke to reporters, stating that the central government has already taken action against those involved in the NEET paper leak case, and the investigation is ongoing.
Bansal remarked, “Rahul Gandhi is coming to Kota to create a political spectacle. The students have an exam in four days. It is perplexing to engage with him at such a time.”
Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to discuss issues such as the paper leak, unemployment, and academic stress with students and youth on June 17. Defending the central government’s actions regarding the NEET controversy, Bansal asserted that measures have been taken against the culprits and that the matter is under investigation.
He also criticized the opposition, referring to them as a “cockroach party,” and noted that similar political maneuvers have failed in the past. Commenting on the political landscape in West Bengal, Bansal expressed confidence in the BJP’s prospects, stating that the public is seeking alternatives after years of corruption and lawlessness.
He added, “For nearly 50 years, the people of Bengal have suffered from corruption and lawlessness. There is a strong desire for change, and people are increasingly supporting the BJP.”
During this press conference, several leaders were present, including Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar, Kota South MLA Sandeep Sharma, MLA Kalpana Devi, BJP city president Rakesh Jain, and former MLA Chandrakanta Meghwal.
