New Delhi, April 10: Voting concluded on Thursday in two states, Assam and Kerala, along with the Union Territory of Puducherry. In this context, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson RP Singh asserted the party’s confidence in winning across all three locations.
In an interview with a news agency, Singh praised the significant voter turnout in these areas. He stated, “The increase in votes is a result of the SIR. All the fake voters, deceased individuals, and those who have moved away have been removed from the voter list, leading to a natural rise in voter turnout. It is a positive sign for democracy when more votes are cast.”
He commended the absence of violence during the elections, saying, “This is a victory for the Election Commission, as there have been no reports of violence from anywhere. The Commission has also promised to ensure that there will be no violence in West Bengal. Elections there will now be conducted without fear.”
Regarding women’s participation in Parliament, he noted, “The Prime Minister continuously emphasizes the involvement of women. He has empowered over three crore sisters and daughters in the country. He is consistently concerned about women’s issues. This time, we are confident of winning in Bhawanipur, and Suvendu Adhikari will defeat Mamata Banerjee. Just as we defeated her in Nandigram, we will do so again.”
He added, “The biggest guarantee at this time is the safety of women and the expulsion of infiltrators. Under the Mamata government, there have been numerous incidents of violence and sexual assault against women. The Mamata government has been found protecting the perpetrators of these crimes.”
On the TMC government’s opposition to SIR, he remarked, “Mamata Banerjee is facing difficulties this time because she used to win elections with the help of fake voters, who are no longer on the list.”
