Mumbai, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions are escalating in Mumbai as the ongoing youth protests in Delhi and Maharashtra draw sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). BJP Member of the Legislative Council Praveen Kumar has accused the Congress party and the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) of attempting to spread chaos in the country. He argued that these protests do not represent the general youth but rather a select group of individuals with specific ideologies who are fearful of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rising influence.
Kumar stated, “The CJP party is intent on creating turmoil in the nation. The public has witnessed the ideologies of those participating in these protests. With Prime Minister Modi leading the country towards progress, they cannot defeat him through democratic means. Their strategy is to sow discord, create confusion, and set false narratives to undermine both the Prime Minister and the government.”
He further emphasized that the opposition is united by a fear of Modi’s leadership, claiming that parties traditionally at odds are now gathering together out of concern for their political futures. “As Prime Minister Modi elevates India on the global stage and strengthens our economy, these movements are mere theatrics born from their anxiety,” Kumar remarked.
The BJP leader also pointed out that those involved in the youth protests are not representative of the broader youth demographic. “If you examine these movements closely, you’ll find they are driven by specific ideological groups, including members of Congress and other parties. This is not the voice of ordinary youth. The youth of this country support Prime Minister Modi, who is actively engaging with them and addressing their future concerns,” he noted.
In response to Rahul Gandhi‘s recent comments after meeting with President Droupadi Murmu regarding alleged vote theft, Kumar expressed skepticism. He remarked that Gandhi has a talent for twisting narratives. “The President stated that if there is evidence of vote theft, it should be presented. This aligns with what the Election Commission has said. If the opposition claims there is a problem, they need to bring it to the commission,” he added.
Kumar mentioned that while the electoral process is legally underway, the opposition is sidestepping substantive issues. “They keep demanding the removal of individuals without clearly stating what they want. The Election Commission has responded to all their concerns. It seems they are more interested in setting narratives than seeking genuine answers,” he concluded.
