Bill Gates to Visit Andhra Pradesh Today for Key Discussions

Amaravati, February 16: Bill Gates, the founder of the Gates Foundation, is set to arrive in Andhra Pradesh today. He will be accompanied by a delegation from the foundation. Gates is scheduled to meet with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. The discussions will focus on advancing initiatives in education, health, and agriculture.

According to officials, the state government plans to expand ongoing projects in these sectors with the support of the Gates Foundation. Gates is expected to arrive at the state secretariat at 10 AM. Following this, he will visit the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) center, where he will learn about the use of technology in governance.

Chief Minister Naidu will provide a detailed overview of the policies and outcomes of real-time governance. Afterward, Naidu, cabinet members, and various departmental officials will hold a meeting with Gates’ team.

Naidu will present the reforms aimed at achieving the goals of the Swarnandhra Vision 2047, focusing on public health, agriculture, education, and other sectors. He will also share insights on projects like MedTech, diagnostics services, and the Sanjeevani initiative.

The state government will provide a detailed demonstration of the Sanjeevani project, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Gates Foundation.

Sources indicate that Gates’ team will later visit a farm in Undavalli village near Amaravati, where they will observe modern farming practices utilizing drones and AI technology.

Two days prior, the Chief Minister stated that the Sanjeevani project would enhance healthcare services for the general public. During discussions on the Governor’s address in the assembly, he mentioned that digital health records would be developed with the help of the Gates Foundation, ensuring that everyone receives tailored healthcare services.
