Bihars Voters Face Consequences of Caste-Based Choices, Says Prashant Kishor

Gopalganj, June 6: Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraj, criticized Bihar’s electorate for prioritizing caste, religion, and symbols over development, education, and employment. He stated that the public is now facing the repercussions of these choices. Kishor held both the government and voters accountable for issues like nepotism, migration, and the deteriorating education system.

He remarked, “After the Muzaffarpur incident, Health Minister Nishant Kumar left for Delhi and only returned on Friday. This is not new. Bihar has witnessed significant tragedies, including one in Muzaffarpur during Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s tenure. Did Nitish Kumar make any statements about it? After the elections, over 55 young people from Bihar lost their lives while working in other states. Did anyone comment on that? Hundreds of bridges collapse daily; have you heard any government statements about that? The government only comments on red and green scarves and caste-religion issues.”

Kishor emphasized, “The government does not address public concerns, and we, the voters, share the blame. We have not voted for our children’s issues. Instead, we voted based on red and green scarves. If you sold your children’s future for 10,000 rupees, you will have to face the consequences. For three years, Jan Suraj has warned that if you vote based on the leader’s face, whether educated or not, healthy or unhealthy, that leader’s child will become a leader, while your children will remain laborers.”

He asserted, “The education system in Bihar will not improve. We confidently state that factories will not open here, jobs will not be available, and migration will not stop. The issue is not about Samrat Chaudhary; it’s about why the people of Bihar voted. If you voted for Arwa or Usna rice, then eat the rice and remain divided by caste and religion.”

Kishor continued, “Nitish Kumar has spent his life speaking against nepotism, yet his son is a health minister, Upendra Kushwaha’s son is a minister for Panchayati Raj, and half of Lalu Yadav’s family is in the government. This is not the fault of these leaders; it is the fault of the public. We know we will vote for them, and they do not care about society or your children. They only care about their families. If you have voted for them, you will have to bear the consequences.”

He concluded, “A greedy person cannot let a swindler go hungry. Until the people of Bihar abandon their greed for quick gains, exploitative leaders will continue to take advantage of you and your children. If such individuals are elected again, it will not affect my life but will impact the lives of Bihar’s children. People across the country are laughing at Bihar’s chief ministers, who lack knowledge of subjects, language, and grammar. This individual does not even know the name of the Father of the Nation.”
