Bihar Police Constable Exam Results Announced: 19,838 Candidates Selected

Patna, May 27: The Central Selection Council (Constable Recruitment) has announced the final results for 19,838 constable positions in the Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police under advertisement number 01/2025. Candidates who participated in the Bihar Police Constable final exam have eagerly awaited this announcement, and now, 19,838 individuals have been selected.

The recruitment process for these constable positions included a written exam conducted in six phases from July to August 2025, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) held in Patna from December 15, 2025, to March 11, 2026. A total of 1,706,628 candidates registered for the advertisement, with 1,330,121 participating in the written exam.

Based on the written exam results, 99,690 candidates were shortlisted for the PET, and 79,932 candidates physically participated in the test. This group included 50,477 men, 29,426 women, and 29 transgender candidates. The selection for the advertised vacancies of 19,838 constables was made based on the performance in the physical efficiency examination. Of the selected candidates, 16,852 will join the Bihar Police, while 2,986 will serve in the Bihar Special Armed Police.

Among the selected candidates, there are 12,509 men, 7,312 women from Bihar, and 17 transgender individuals. Additionally, 332 candidates are enrolled and trained home guards, and 190 are dependents of freedom fighters. The selection also includes candidates from various reservation categories: 7,935 from the unreserved category, 1,983 from the economically weaker section, 2,381 from the backward classes, 3,571 from the extremely backward classes, 3,174 from scheduled castes, 199 from scheduled tribes, and 595 women from backward classes.

Candidates can view the exam results on the council’s website. They are required to report to their assigned units between June 20 and July 19. It has been noted that character verification and medical examinations will be conducted by the respective appointing authorities.
