Bihar Launches Our Bihar, Our Roads App for Public Grievances

Patna, March 22: The people of Bihar can now report potholes and road issues through the newly launched ‘Our Bihar, Our Roads’ app. The relevant department will take immediate action, and if repairs are not completed by engineers or contractors within 48 hours, departmental action will be ensured. This information was shared by Bihar government minister Ashok Chaudhary on Sunday.

In a conversation in Patna, Minister Ashok Chaudhary stated that under the guidance of our leader Nitish Kumar, the ‘Our Bihar, Our Roads’ app has been launched. If there is a pothole or crack in the road, or if someone believes the road is in poor condition, they can take a picture and send it to our command center. There is no need to specify the location, block, or road name, as all information will be automatically geotagged and sent to us.

He explained that engineers and contractors are given 48 hours to respond. If they fail to do so, a reminder will be sent, followed by a notice explaining the reasons for the delay along with a penalty.

On the occasion of ‘Bihar Day’, Minister Ashok Chaudhary mentioned that this initiative was inspired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s vision, aiming to instill pride among the people of Bihar in their rich traditions, heritage, and history.

During the ‘Bihar Day’ celebrations, he inaugurated and visited stalls set up by the Rural Works Department at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. He noted that under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar is setting new benchmarks in modern development. The construction of robust and quality roads by the Rural Works Department not only facilitates transportation but also opens new avenues for education, health, trade, and employment.

He also wrote on social media that Bihar, a land of diverse cultures, has a glorious history. Today, the identity of Bihar and its people is characterized by intelligence and resilience. Under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s guidance, the Rural Works Department has developed a strong network of roads connecting remote areas to the mainstream. The department plays a crucial role in the holistic development of rural areas. Roads are not just a means of transportation; they are the lifeline of development.
