CONTENT: New Delhi, June 16: Senior BJP leader Shah Nawaz Hussain has voiced his opinions on the current state of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the government’s preparations for the NEET exam, and statements made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He asserted that the TMC’s political foundation in West Bengal is crumbling, with party leaders increasingly abandoning ship.
Commenting on the TMC’s current situation, Hussain stated that the party has lost both public support and representation. He emphasized that there are no MPs, MLAs, or even local representatives left loyal to the TMC. He accused the party of being formed by co-opting leaders from Congress and leftist parties, but now faces significant public outrage. Hussain noted that a large group of TMC legislators has already separated from the party, and several MPs in Delhi have distanced themselves as well.
Hussain labeled the statements from TMC leaders as malicious and suggested they engage in self-reflection to understand their failures. He claimed that over the past 15 years, West Bengal has experienced a climate of corruption, violence, and atrocities against women, prompting public rebellion against the TMC. He remarked that while TMC leaders were once welcomed with flowers, they are now met with eggs in protest, yet their rhetoric remains unchanged.
In response to a letter written by TMC MP Kakoli Ghosh to the Lok Sabha Speaker regarding Kalyan Banerjee, Hussain noted that there have been multiple complaints against Banerjee in the past. He stated that the decision regarding this matter lies with the Lok Sabha Speaker.
Regarding the government’s preparations for the NEET exam, Hussain expressed confidence, stating that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the entire government are closely monitoring the examination process. He assured that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the exam is fair and transparent, emphasizing that there will be no paper leaks this time. Students should trust the government and expect no issues during the examination.
Hussain also targeted Rahul Gandhi, claiming he has become irrelevant and that his habit of making baseless statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inappropriate for an opposition leader. He criticized Gandhi for attempting to politicize the NEET exam issue while the government is diligently working to prevent any irregularities.
He accused Gandhi of trying to exploit student issues for political gain, reiterating that students trust the government’s intentions and preparations. The government is committed to ensuring that the NEET exam is conducted fairly and without disruptions, prioritizing the future of students and vowing to not tolerate any irregularities in the examination process.
