Mumbai, April 14: Punjabi singer Badshah has launched his new track ‘Tattiri Phir Se’. Following the ban on the original ‘Tattiri’, he has revised the lyrics and re-released the song.
This time, Badshah blends Haryana’s unique culture with modern hip-hop. The track features vocals by Simran Jaglan, a state-level boxing champion.
Badshah describes the song as a mix of culture, strength, and swag, emphasizing that it is more than just a song—it’s an experience. While the overall composition remains largely unchanged, the first rap section has been removed, which previously included derogatory remarks about women. Instead, he has woven his comeback narrative into the lyrics.
The music video has also undergone changes, removing scenes of girls dancing in school uniforms and bus scenes. New footage featuring the swag of Haryana’s elders and fresh dance clips has been added to complete the song.
Throughout the track, Badshah showcases his return and charisma. The song has received a positive response on social media, with fans labeling it as Haryana’s dancing anthem.
It is worth noting that the original ‘Tattiri’ faced significant backlash, leading Badshah to apologize publicly on social media and before the Haryana State Women’s Commission. The song had included offensive language towards women and used government school uniforms and buses without permission. The commission also took action against those providing these uniforms and buses.
Two FIRs were filed against the singer in Haryana, and shortly after its release, the original song was banned from social media. However, just three days prior, Badshah announced the release of ‘Tattiri Phir Se’. He had also performed at London’s O2 Arena, with a documentary about the event recently released.
