Ayodhya, June 22: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is currently probing alleged discrepancies in donation receipts at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. The team conducted inspections for six days and has prepared an initial report. In light of the investigation, several significant changes have been implemented regarding the collection and counting of donations at the temple.
According to sources, the employees previously responsible for donation counting have been reassigned to other duties. The counting process now includes trustworthy staff from the temple as well as new bank employees to enhance transparency.
A new CCTV system has been installed to monitor the cash counting process. All cash counting areas are under camera surveillance, and a separate control room has been established for this purpose.
Access to the counting room has become stricter, with enhanced rules in place. Employees will only be allowed entry after a thorough search. Additionally, there will be 100% checks when exiting the counting room.
Sources indicate that cross-verification will now be conducted by three individuals when depositing cash at the bank. All signatures will be mandatory to prevent any potential discrepancies in the process.
Officials state that no action has been taken against any individual until the SIT’s initial investigation report is released. The investigation is ongoing, and a comprehensive review of the entire matter is being conducted.
Previously, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the SIT is working impartially and will ensure clarity in the matter. He urged all parties to refrain from making statements until the investigation is complete and advised anyone with documentary evidence to submit it to the SIT.
