During his visit, PM Modi will participate in several events. He is expected to land at the Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) located on the Moran bypass in Dibrugarh around 10:30 AM, where he will witness aerial displays of fighter jets, transport aircraft, and helicopters.
The Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) is the first of its kind in Northeast India. Developed in coordination with the Indian Air Force, it is specifically designed for military and civilian aircraft to land and take off during emergencies. This facility will serve as a crucial asset for emergency response, enabling rapid deployment of rescue and relief operations during natural disasters or strategic needs in the Northeast. The ELF is capable of operating fighter jets weighing up to 40 tons and transport aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 74 tons.
Following this, PM Modi will arrive in Guwahati around 1 PM to inaugurate the Kumar Verma Bridge, constructed at a cost of approximately ₹3,030 crores over the Brahmaputra River. Later, around 1:30 PM, he will inaugurate and launch several other projects worth over ₹5,450 crores at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati.
