Anupam Kher Seeks Blessings from Ganpati Bappa Before Theatre Performance

Mumbai, April 14: Renowned actor Anupam Kher has been increasingly active in theatre alongside his film career, working on several new plays. His latest Hindi musical, “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane,” has received widespread acclaim. However, it appears he is preparing for a new production and sought blessings from Ganpati Bappa before diving into the new project.

Anupam Kher began his career in theatre, and at this stage of his life, he has returned to the stage. He is currently involved in multiple plays, including “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane” and “Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai.” Recently, he visited the Siddhivinayak Temple, where he read excerpts from his play’s script in front of Bappa. He shared a video on social media, stating, β€œOn the day of the play’s performance, Swaroop Sampat and I went to Siddhivinayak Temple with the script and prayed from the depths of our hearts! For the success of the play and for everyone’s happiness, peace, and prosperity! Ganpati Bappa Morya! Mangalmurti Morya!”

Previously, he shared glimpses of “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane,” showcasing his interaction with the audience. Notably, the title of this play was suggested by Kirron Kher, who also named the iconic film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

“Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane” is a Hindi musical featuring music by Anu Malik, with vocals from Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh, and Anandi Joshi. The lyrics were penned by Kausar Munir. Before the play’s launch, Anupam Kher collaborated with music legends to prepare the score and provided insights into the upcoming show. The play narrates the story of relationships that may appear familiar but are, in reality, as foreign as strangers.
