Anupam Kher Seeks Blessings from Ganpati Bappa Before New Play

Mumbai, April 14: Renowned actor Anupam Kher has been increasingly active in theater, working on several new plays alongside his film career. His latest Hindi musical, “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane,” has received widespread acclaim. However, it seems he is preparing for another new play, and before that, he sought blessings from Ganpati Bappa.

Kher, who began his career in theater, has returned to the stage at this stage of his life. He is currently engaged in works like “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane” and “Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai.” Recently, he visited the Siddhivinayak Temple, where he read some lines from his play’s script in front of Bappa. He shared a video on social media, stating, β€œOn the day of the play’s performance, I and Swaroop Sampat went to Siddhivinayak Temple with the script and prayed from the depths of our hearts! For the success of the play, for everyone’s happiness, peace, and prosperity! Ganpati Bappa Morya! Mangalmurti Morya!”

Previously, he had shared glimpses of “Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane,” where he was seen engaging with the audience. Notably, the title of this play was suggested by Kirron Kher, who also named the iconic film “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.

“Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane” is a Hindi musical featuring music by Anu Malik, with vocals by Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh, and Anandi Joshi. The lyrics were penned by Kausar Munir. Before the play’s launch, Anupam Kher collaborated with renowned musicians to prepare the music and provided insights about the upcoming show. The play narrates the story of relationships that appear familiar but are, in reality, as unfamiliar as strangers.
