Lucknow, April 14: Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has responded to the recent protests by workers in Noida. He has accused Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP government of being responsible for the incident.
On Tuesday, during a visit to pay homage to the statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar in Hazratganj, Lucknow, Yadav addressed questions from journalists regarding the violent protests in Noida. He stated, “What happened in Noida is a result of the government’s failure. The government was aware of the situation but allowed such an incident to occur. If officials claim there was a conspiracy, then the Chief Minister is accountable.”
Yadav further remarked, “No one has lied more than the Chief Minister. We do not say this; many people claim he is a fake saint. He has no connection with the Constitution, as those who abide by it never commit injustice.”
Speaking to the media, he noted that during the BJP’s ten years in power, numerous statues of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar have been damaged. He accused those involved in such acts of attempting to send misleading messages ahead of the elections. The people of Uttar Pradesh are aware of the BJP’s conspiracies and are wise to them.
Yadav emphasized, “We will continue to fight for social justice and to establish a system of social equity. This struggle will last for years, and if necessary, for centuries. We have heard some BJP members claim that if they win 400 seats, they will change the Constitution. We want to thank the people of Uttar Pradesh and the nation for preserving the Constitution and democracy through their votes.”
He also stated that Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Constitution is not merely a document but a powerful sword that earns respect over time. The Constitution serves as our shield and lifeline, providing justice and opportunities for advancement and equality. We will continue to fight to protect the Constitution and promote Babasaheb’s principles.
