Shahdol, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Swapna Verma, the state general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) women’s wing and in charge of the Shahdol division, emphasized the crucial role of Anganwadi workers, referring to them as the “second mothers” of children. She made these remarks during her visit to Shahdol on September 28.
As part of the BJP’s initiative to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service, a service commitment campaign is underway. This includes the Angan Milaan service program, where party officials and workers visit Anganwadi centers to engage with children and their mothers, assessing the facilities provided to the young beneficiaries.
During a ceremony at the community health center in Gohparu, Dr. Verma honored Anganwadi workers and assistants. She interacted directly with the beneficiaries, stating that Prime Minister Modi has recognized the efforts of grassroots workers and has ensured they receive due respect.
Dr. Verma noted that government schemes under Modi’s leadership have significantly changed the lives of women and various communities. She highlighted that while a child may not be born from an Anganwadi worker, they care for them as if they were their own. Mothers who send their children to these centers can feel assured of their safety and well-being.
She urged beneficiaries to express gratitude towards both Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, wishing for their long life. The BJP women’s wing is actively organizing Angan Milaan ceremonies across the state, with officials visiting Anganwadi centers to connect with workers and beneficiaries directly.
