Amaravati, August 10: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Monday that the process of re-surveying land will be completed by 2027. Farmers and landowners will receive official Pattadar passbooks from the state.
During the ‘My Land-My Rights’ Pattadar passbook distribution event in Kalidindi, Eluru district, he stated that the coalition government is focused solely on resolving revenue-related issues.
Naidu explained that the ‘Revenue Record Reform 2026’ initiative was launched to rectify and organize land records. He presented a state-marked Pattadar passbook to a woman farmer, Nallajarla Durga Bhavani.
Addressing the gathering later, the Chief Minister highlighted that the ‘double-engine’ government at both the center and state levels is driving rapid development. He resolved land allocation issues for veterans who participated in World War II, which had been categorized under Section 22-A, and issued them leases.
He noted that the revenue records had deteriorated due to losses incurred during the previous government (2019-2024). Land and properties were digitally recorded under Section 22-A, leading to disputes. Following the coalition government’s assumption of power in 2024, numerous complaints regarding land issues emerged.
Naidu mentioned that the state government is incorporating robust security features in the Pattadar passbook, similar to currency notes. Blockchain technology is being utilized to prevent tampering with property information, along with QR codes and other tech-based security features.
So far, 3.22 million Pattadar passbooks have been distributed to farmers and landowners. He stated that in the next seven months, the government aims to complete the re-survey in 9,365 villages and issue 6.864 million Pattadar passbooks.
The Chief Minister reported that issues related to approximately 41,000 acres of land have been resolved, benefiting over 127,000 farmers, industries, and the general public. He added that 136,000 acres of land have been freed from freehold restrictions.
The government is digitizing old land records, including 1-B, Adangal, DKT, ARC, Inam, and sealing records. All linked documents will be made available online. To date, nearly nine million people have benefited from auto-mutation services. The re-survey is being conducted in the presence of farmers.
After completing e-KYC, Pattadar passbooks marked with the state symbol are being printed and distributed through village assemblies to maintain transparency.
