Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: A Milestone for Bihars Economic Development, Says JD(U)

Patna, July 17: NDA leaders have emphasized the government’s commitment to development while addressing various issues, including railway advancements, the Bankara Mosque in Kolkata, Punjab’s growth, the Kishanganj Airport project, and the Bharat Tiwari encounter case. They claim the NDA government is fostering progress, while the opposition attempts to mislead the public.

JD(U) MLA Shyam Rajak welcomed Prime Minister Modi’s inauguration of revamped railway stations under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,’ calling it a significant and positive step for Bihar. Historically, Bihar has lagged in railway infrastructure, and the lack of investment has been largely due to inadequate rail connectivity.

Rajak stated that a robust transportation system is essential for any state’s economic development, enabling the efficient distribution of goods across the country.

Regarding the ongoing dispute over the Bankara Mosque in Kolkata, Rajak mentioned he lacks complete information. He noted uncertainty about whether the mosque is within the airport premises and whether any objections were raised during the airport’s construction. However, he stressed that if any structure needs to be removed for security reasons, safety must take precedence.

Bihar’s Minister Dilip Jaiswal commented on Punjab’s development, stating that the state, once a leader in the country, has not progressed at the expected pace. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for equitable growth across all states, asserting that the central government is focusing on various development projects in Punjab to ensure comprehensive national progress.

On the Kishanganj Airport project, Jaiswal remarked on the area’s strategic importance due to its proximity to the borders of Nepal and Bangladesh. The government has decided to establish a fully developed airport there. He informed that the land acquisition process has begun under emergency provisions, and initial funds have been released. The government anticipates swift completion of the acquisition.

Regarding the Bharat Tiwari encounter case, Jaiswal noted that some individuals are attempting to politicize the issue. He assured that the government is conducting a fair investigation and will take legal action against anyone found guilty based on the judicial inquiry commission’s report.

He urged the opposition not to politicize this sensitive matter, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring justice.
