Mumbai, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) spokesperson Anand Dubey has taken aim at AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi for his political maneuvering regarding the demolition of illegal constructions, specifically at the Saharanpur district mosque. Dubey accused Owaisi of engaging in “dirty politics” across various regions, asserting that local authorities have the rightful power to dismantle any illegal structures in Uttar Pradesh.
He stated, “Owaisi wants to politicize every situation. Local administrations hold the authority to remove encroachments or unlawfully constructed buildings. Are you trying to politicize every incident?”
Dubey further criticized Owaisi’s focus on religious sites, stating that attention should also be given to the government’s positive initiatives. He emphasized that if a mosque were to be replaced by any other structure, it would face the same fate if built unlawfully. “If you follow the rules and obtain the necessary permissions, no one will demolish your structure,” he added.
On the topic of Garba celebrations during Navratri, Dubey commented on restrictions regarding non-Hindus’ participation. He noted that Navratri is a significant festival for Hindus, involving fasting and worship. While he welcomed non-Hindus to join the celebrations, he warned against disruptive behavior, stating that it is the police’s duty to identify and penalize offenders.
Regarding the film “Hanuman Ansh,” Dubey clarified that it was not a government production but rather created by independent filmmakers. He urged the Maharashtra government to grant tax exemptions similar to those provided by Uttarakhand, to allow more people to access the film, which is based on true events.
Dubey also expressed that not every dissent is warranted, citing Neem Karoli Baba as a figure of reverence for millions. He underscored the importance of respecting cultural and religious sentiments, asserting that the film was created by an ordinary citizen and deserves recognition.
He concluded by stating that religion and politics in India are intertwined. “Politics is inherently linked to religion. If religion is upheld positively, it garners respect. Misconduct in the name of religion will lead to opposition,” he remarked, emphasizing the need for adherence to moral principles in governance.
