Jaipur, October 17 (Daily Kiran): In a major development under ‘Operation Bhu-Dev’, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recovered 560 grams of gold worth ₹72 lakh from the locker of Ramavatar Meena, Associate Professor at the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Institute, Jaipur. The recovery was made during a search conducted as part of an ongoing disproportionate assets case (Case No. 270/2025).

According to Additional Director General of Police (ACB) Smita Srivastava, searches were carried out at multiple premises linked to Ramavatar Meena in connection with the case. During the investigation, the ACB team found the key to a bank locker, which led to further searches.
Acting on the lead, the ACB Jaipur Nagar-I unit inspected a locker at the State Bank of India, Indira Gandhi Nagar Branch, Jaipur, on October 17, 2025. The search resulted in the recovery of 560 grams of gold, which was subsequently valued at ₹72 lakh by an authorized valuer.
The bureau has also initiated the valuation of Meena’s under-construction property, which, according to officials, may reveal additional undisclosed assets.
The investigation is currently underway under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
