ABVPs Commitment to Combat Educational Discrepancies and Urban Naxalism: Virendra Singh Solanki

New Delhi, May 27: The All India Student Council (ABVP) held a one-day working committee meeting at the ‘Education and Research’ University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the sacred land of Mahaprabhu Jagannath. The meeting passed a resolution to commend the public for establishing democratic values by ending violence, fear, and appeasement politics in West Bengal. The session commenced with the lighting of lamps by ABVP National President Prof. Raghuraj Kishore Tiwari, National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, and National Organization Secretary Ashish Chauhan, with key activists from across the country in attendance.

The meeting included extensive discussions on the current national landscape, the education system, the role of youth, national security, social and economic issues, organizational review and expansion, and contemporary challenges. Topics such as the ‘Screen Time to Activity Time Campaign’, ‘150 Years of Vande Mataram’, ‘Hostel Survey Campaign’, ‘Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar Birth Centenary’, ’50 Years of Emergency Prohibition’, ‘350 Years of Martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur’, and ‘650th Birth Anniversary of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Ji’ were thoroughly examined. Emphasis was placed on reviewing campaign, programmatic, and organizational issues for future action.

A resolution to commend the people of West Bengal for overcoming violence, fear, and appeasement politics to restore democratic values was passed during this meeting. Delegates from across the nation engaged in deep discussions on education, social, economic, national security, global conditions, and contemporary issues related to youth, with proposals to be discussed and passed in the upcoming National Executive Council.

ABVP National President Prof. Raghuraj Kishore Tiwari emphasized the importance of reviewing past years and assessing current circumstances to determine the organization’s future direction. This central working committee meeting plays a crucial role in this process. Organizational discussions held in Dwarka and Sringeri have been milestones in strengthening the system in line with today’s needs. The awareness programs conducted nationwide in honor of ‘Prof. Yashwantrao Kelkar Ji’s’ birth centenary have inspired workers by connecting them with his ideals and methodologies, which are essential in today’s context. ABVP firmly believes that India’s education system should be based on Indian philosophy and values, paving the way for a unified educational framework that ensures the holistic development of the youth.

Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki, National General Secretary of ABVP, welcomed all representatives attending the central working committee meeting. He stated that as India takes a leadership role globally, ABVP is actively working through constructive movements and struggles to address issues like Naxalism and discrepancies in education. Whether it’s the fight for scholarships in Telangana, the NEET paper leak issue, protests against paper leaks in Mumbai, or innovations through student unions in Delhi and Punjab, ABVP has consistently acted in the interest of students. Initiatives like the tribal student conference in Tripura, the student parliament in Odisha, and the law student conference in Tamil Nadu, along with training over one million girls in self-defense under ‘Mission Sahasi’, showcase ABVP’s growing acceptance and expansion. This meeting has unanimously passed a resolution to commend the public for establishing democratic values by ending violence, fear, and appeasement politics in West Bengal. This gathering will infuse us with spiritual energy and a positive outlook, enabling us to fulfill our commitment to nation-building with greater momentum.
