Jaipur, February 09, 2026 (Daily Kiran): Acting on directions from the ACB headquarters, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Jaipur City Fourth Unit on Monday arrested Rajesh Kumar Khandelwal, Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO–II) posted in the Pension Department at Lalkothi, Jaipur, while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹10,000.

According to the ACB, a complaint was received stating that after the death of the complainant’s father, the complainant’s mother was not receiving her full pension. It was alleged that the accused demanded ₹10,000 for processing the full pension and additionally sought 10 per cent of the arrear amount for clearing pending arrears. The demand was reportedly made on January 19, 2026.
Following verification, a trap was laid, during which the accused allegedly accepted ₹10,000 from the complainant. The bribe amount has been recovered, and the accused was taken into custody on the spot.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Anand Sharma, Deputy Inspector General (II), ACB Jaipur Range, and led by Gyan Prakash Naval, Additional Superintendent of Police, ACB Jaipur City Fourth Unit, with Police Inspector Ramji Lal and other officials participating in the trap proceedings. Inquiry is underway regarding the possible involvement of others.
Under the supervision of ACB Director General Satyendra Kumar, further interrogation and legal action are in progress. A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act will be registered, and further investigation will be carried out.
