New Delhi, June 14: A remarkable opportunity has emerged for young job seekers preparing for government positions. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the recruitment of 60 Section Officers or equivalent positions across its 20 Regional Passport Offices (RPOs) on a deputation basis. This recruitment will initially last for two years, with the possibility of extension according to existing regulations.
The offline application process for these vacancies began on May 22, and the deadline to apply is set for July 17. Candidates interested in these positions are advised to submit their registration forms within the stipulated timeframe.
Applicants must be serving officers in any ministry/department/office of the central government, holding equivalent posts at pay matrix levels 8/10. They should possess strong managerial and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to effectively communicate with other organizations, ministries, and departments. Good note-taking, drafting skills, and communication abilities are also essential.
Additionally, candidates should have prior experience working as Section Officers or in equivalent roles within the ministries/departments/affiliated/subordinate offices of the Government of India. Experience in handling administrative and establishment matters, policy, legal affairs, information and Right to Information, finance and accounts, auditing, and public relations is required.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 56 years, calculated as of January 1. Selected candidates will receive a salary at pay matrix levels 8/10 (as per the 7th CPC) per month, along with additional benefits and allowances.
