Jaipur, September 3: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its ‘Resolution Document’ in anticipation of the upcoming local body elections in Rajasthan. Party leaders describe this document as a roadmap for comprehensive urban development, asserting that the establishment of a ‘Triple Engine’ government will accelerate local development initiatives. The BJP claims significant victories across 10 municipal corporations and a total of 309 local bodies in the state.
BJP leader Harish Dwivedi stated that the Resolution Document was issued by the Chief Minister and the state president specifically for the local body elections. He emphasized the necessity of holistic development in every sector for a developed Rajasthan, asserting that the BJP’s success in local bodies will further expedite urban development. With the party already in power at both the central and state levels, their goal is to establish a government in local bodies as well. He reiterated the ‘Triple Engine’ concept, claiming it will enhance the pace of development. Dwivedi expressed confidence that the BJP will secure mayoral and chairperson positions in most seats across the 10 municipal corporations and 309 local bodies.
In response to allegations regarding the late submission of symbols by around 30 Congress candidates in Bhilwara, Madan Rathore criticized the Congress party. He stated that blaming the government is unwarranted. Candidates should have submitted their symbols along with their nominations, and no one hindered the timely completion of the process. He noted that the Election Commission is an independent body and that the BJP does not interfere in the electoral process. If the Congress believes there were irregularities, they should first address their own delays.
Rathore explained that the BJP’s Resolution Document aims to address local needs over the next five years, including projects such as underpasses, overbridges, new sewage lines, drainage solutions, and road-related issues. The document also includes plans to relocate overhead power lines to underground cable systems, prevent waterlogging, and develop better drainage systems. Additionally, it mentions the initiation of new metro-related projects as necessary.
Regarding the Jodhpur division, BJP leader Bhupendra Saini remarked that this election primarily focuses on ward and grassroots-level candidates. The party has nominated strong candidates, and 13 individuals have already been elected unopposed in the division. Under the Chief Minister’s leadership, efforts are being made to ensure development reaches every ward, street, and neighborhood. He highlighted the organizational strength, stating that under state president Madan Rathore’s guidance, workers are active at the booth level, and ticket distribution was coordinated effectively. The BJP is expected to perform well in the Jodhpur division.
BJP leader Manju Sharma mentioned that this time, the party has named the document ‘Resolution Document’ instead of a manifesto to establish accountability for the promises made to the public. The document includes provisions for replacing old sewage lines, improving drinking water supply, and reconstructing damaged roads. It also addresses issues like 24-hour electricity, metro expansion to resolve traffic problems, and the establishment of new medical and educational institutions.
Sharma also announced a commitment to create ‘Pink Toilets’ for the convenience of girls. Alongside the release of the Resolution Document, a documentary showcasing the development work undertaken by the BJP government over the past two and a half years was presented.
In response to the allegations against the government regarding the late submission of Congress candidates’ symbols in Bhilwara, Sharma stated that the opposition often shifts the blame for their mistakes onto the government or the Election Commission. When they win, the opposition does not question anyone, but in defeat, they resort to blaming the Election Commission or the machines. She asserted that the Congress’s accusations will not affect the electoral process, and the BJP will focus on development issues when engaging with the public.
