
Rajkot, May 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 19th Employment Fair via video conferencing on Saturday. During this event, over 51,000 newly appointed employees across the country received their appointment letters. In Rajkot, candidates selected from nearly 14 ministries were also handed their letters.
According to Sunil Kumar Meena, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Rajkot Division, appointment letters were distributed to selected candidates from various ministries, including Railways, Home Affairs, Higher Education, Postal Services, Power, and Labor. The Indian Railways organized employment fairs at 47 locations nationwide.
The Rajkot Division hosted the event at the Jagjivan Ram Railway Institute, where Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Labor, Employment, and Sports, was the chief guest. Selected youths expressed their joy upon receiving their appointment letters and praised the central government’s employment initiatives.
In a conversation with the media, Minister Mandaviya stated that under PM Modi’s leadership, the nation is transforming. He emphasized that the country is progressing and a new India is being built, providing job opportunities to youths based on their qualifications and capabilities with complete transparency.
He expressed happiness about the organization of the 19th Employment Fair, noting that over 1.2 million young men and women have been given the chance to join government jobs through these fairs in the last four years. Today, PM Modi provided appointment letters to more than 51,000 youths, boosting their morale.
One young woman shared her excitement about being selected in the banking sector at the employment fair. She mentioned that she did not attend any special classes for the exam, relying solely on online classes via YouTube. Receiving the appointment letter marked a significant step toward fulfilling her dreams. Another young woman expressed her gratitude to the central government for her selection in the postal department and receiving her appointment letter at the fair.
