Ghaziabad, July 21: The Regional Passport Office in Ghaziabad is set to hold a ‘Passport Lok Adalat’ on July 23, aimed at swiftly resolving pending passport applications and complaints. This initiative seeks to provide relief to applicants whose passport files are delayed for various reasons or who are facing issues with their applications.
According to information released by the Regional Passport Office, the Lok Adalat will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Room 320 of the Regional Passport Office located at Hapur Chungi, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad. During this time, the Regional Passport Officer will be present to directly meet with applicants, listen to their concerns, and work towards quick resolutions.
Anuj Swaroop, the Regional Passport Officer (Indian Foreign Service), stated that in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Ghaziabad Regional Passport Office is continuously striving to provide citizens with simple, transparent, timely, and quality passport services. Regular reviews are conducted to enhance service delivery quality, effectively resolve complaints, and strengthen citizen-centric systems.
He noted that this Lok Adalat, organized under the guidance of the Ministry of External Affairs, is a significant step towards quickly addressing citizens’ issues. It aims not only to expedite the resolution of pending cases but also to relieve the common public from the hassle of repeatedly visiting offices. This initiative is seen as a crucial move towards making passport services more accessible, transparent, and responsive. However, due to time constraints, only 50 applicants’ files will be processed during this Lok Adalat. Therefore, eligible applicants are encouraged to arrive on time.
The Regional Passport Officer has requested all relevant applicants to bring original and photocopies of all necessary documents to ensure effective resolution of their cases on-site. This initiative is expected to be particularly beneficial for those whose passport-related files have been pending for an extended period or whose complaints have yet to be addressed.
The Regional Passport Office hopes that this Lok Adalat will provide prompt relief to as many eligible applicants as possible and ensure effective solutions to their problems.
