19th Employment Fair: Over 200 Youths Receive Appointment Letters in Kharagpur and Siliguri

Kharagpur, May 23: The 19th edition of the Employment Fair was successfully held on Saturday at 47 locations across India, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide job opportunities for the youth. Prime Minister Modi addressed the newly appointed employees virtually, distributing appointment letters to approximately 51,000 young individuals across various central government departments.

In Kharagpur, around 142 new recruits received their appointment letters during the event. The Chief Guest, Union Minister Shantanu Thakur, and West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh were also present at the ceremony.

Union Minister Shantanu Thakur stated that the fair was organized in Kharagpur under the initiative to create 1 million jobs led by PM Modi. During this phase, appointment letters were distributed to 51,000 individuals across 47 locations, covering various sectors including railways, postal services, IIT, FCL, and banks.

He emphasized that at least 142 individuals secured jobs through this initiative. PM Modi has invited 51,000 people to participate in the employment fairs across India, marking it as a significant program. He expressed optimism that everything would go smoothly with PM Modi welcoming everyone virtually.

West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh echoed this sentiment, noting that 51,000 youths found jobs through the 19th Employment Fair. In Kharagpur, selected candidates were also handed their appointment letters. He confirmed that 142 youths received jobs during this event.

On the other hand, many young individuals expressed their joy upon receiving their appointment letters. Youths from Kolkata, Kharagpur, and other cities thanked PM Modi for the opportunity. One young recipient shared their excitement about receiving a government job appointment letter at such a grand event, highlighting the significance of the occasion.

Others echoed similar sentiments, stating that under PM Modi’s leadership, securing a government job has become significantly easier through hard work.

Additionally, a program was also held in Siliguri, where local MP Jayant Kumar Roy and MLA Shikha Chatterjee were present. A total of 81 candidates received appointment letters at the Siliguri event, and the newly recruited youths expressed their happiness and welcomed the government’s initiative.
