Young Man Murdered in Sahibganj, Cousin Arrested

Sahibganj, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : In Sahibganj, Jharkhand, police have made a breakthrough in the murder case of Gaurachandra Bagti, apprehending his cousin, Bahadur Bagti, aged 44. The arrest was confirmed on October 5, following an investigation into the incident that occurred in the Radhanagar police jurisdiction.

Gaurachandra’s body was discovered near Mohanpur Chowk on the National Highway at approximately 4:45 AM on October 4. Upon receiving the report, local authorities arrived at the scene and began their investigation. Initial findings suggested that Gaurachandra had been killed by having his throat slit.

In response to the crime, the Superintendent of Police in Sahibganj directed the formation of a special task force led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Vimlesh Kumar Tripathi to pursue the case. The team utilized both physical evidence from the scene and technical intelligence to advance their investigation.

During the inquiry, Bahadur Bagti emerged as a suspect. Police detained him for questioning, during which he confessed to murdering Gaurachandra due to a personal feud. Following this confession, authorities recovered the knife used in the crime, as well as a sandal found at the scene, which has been seized for further examination.

The police are currently analyzing all evidence and statements to piece together the events leading to the murder. Investigators are also exploring other aspects of the case and preparing for subsequent legal actions based on the findings.
