Yogi Adityanath Critiques TMCs Governance in West Bengal

Hugli, April 27: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a sharp critique of West Bengal’s current condition during a rally in the Dhaniakhali assembly constituency. He stated that Bengal, once known for its art, literature, and industrial prosperity, has been pushed into despair. He blamed the Congress, the Left Front, and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for rendering Bengal impoverished over the last 15 years.

CM Yogi remarked that when slogans like “Jai Shri Ram” or “Har-Har Mahadev” are raised, TMC leader Mamata Banerjee becomes fearful, sensing her power is at risk. He emphasized that Bengal, the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who popularized the “Hare Ram-Hare Krishna” chant, and Swami Vivekananda, who inspired Hindus worldwide to proclaim their identity, is now facing a demographic change orchestrated by the TMC government.

He recalled that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a great leader born in Bengal, once said, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.” The Bengal that was once the cultural capital of India is now a place where Mamata Banerjee reacts negatively to the chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Har-Har Mahadev,” fearing for her authority.

The Chief Minister mentioned his recent visit to the Taraknath temple in Tarakeshwar, stating that if the BJP had a double-engine government, a grand corridor like that of Kashi Vishwanath would have been built, providing better facilities for devotees. He criticized the TMC for imposing restrictions on discussing India’s eternal traditions and for prohibiting the celebration of Hindu festivals while allowing public prayers for other religions.

He highlighted the violence and unrest that often precede Hindu festivals in Bengal, while TMC remains silent on issues like love jihad and land jihad. The people of Bengal are now rising against the injustices of TMC’s misgovernance.

CM Yogi drew parallels with Uttar Pradesh, stating that before 2017, the state faced similar issues. However, under BJP governance, lawlessness has diminished, curfews have ended, and safety has been restored for women and businesses. He assured that any harm to cows or threats to traders would be met with strict consequences.

He expressed concern over the current state of Bengal, which has given India its national anthem and is home to the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore. He noted that TMC’s goons are now searching for refuge as enthusiasm builds following the first phase of voting on April 23. He promised that a double-engine BJP government would ensure good governance, job security for the youth, and empowerment for women.

CM Yogi concluded by urging the people of Bengal to unite and stand against TMC’s oppression. He encouraged everyone who supports “Amar Sonar Bangla” to come forward without fear.
