BJP Intensifies Campaign for Bankipur By-Election with Our Government, Our MLA Slogan

Patna, July 23: The by-election for the high-profile Bankipur assembly seat in Bihar is heating up as the polling date approaches. Scheduled for July 30, major political parties have ramped up their campaigning efforts.

The BJP, Jan Suraj, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are all claiming victory for this seat. The BJP has nominated Neeraj Kumar Sinha as its candidate. Meanwhile, Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraj, is making his debut as a candidate in this election.

On the other hand, the RJD has selected Rekha Gupta as its nominee. Political analysts believe the contest is triangular, although BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha appears to be in a strong position. To boost their campaign, the BJP has released a new election poster.

The poster prominently features the slogan “Our Government, Our MLA.” It also describes Neeraj Kumar Sinha as “the son of Bankipur,” urging voters to cast their votes for the lotus symbol. The message emphasizes, “Why waste your vote?” and asserts that only a local candidate can better understand and address the area’s issues.

The BJP has made “local issues, local solutions” and development key elements of its campaign agenda. The party argues that having the same coalition government at both the state and central levels will accelerate development projects in the region. During the campaign, local leaders are actively engaging with voters to garner support for the BJP.

Local residents express that Bankipur has been represented by local figures in the past and believe that only a local candidate should represent the area in the future. They argue that someone who has long been connected to Bankipur can better understand its problems and needs.

BJP’s state general secretary, Preeti Shekhar, stated that their party is contesting the election on the issues of development and good governance. She emphasized that the BJP’s candidate is a resident of Bankipur and that the party is receiving widespread support from the public. She claimed that the BJP will achieve a record victory in this by-election.
