Mumbai, April 14: XPeng is set to officially launch its flagship SUV, the GX, on April 15. This vehicle emphasizes intelligent lighting and cutting-edge driving technology. Developed in collaboration with Huawei Qiankun, the GX introduces a new generation of AI-powered digital projection headlights, revolutionizing vehicle interaction with their environment.
The highlight of the GX is its advanced DLP projection lighting system. Unlike conventional headlights, the GX can project dynamic symbols directly onto the road. This includes arrows for lane guidance, alerts to “Yield to Pedestrians,” and indicators for following distances. The system also supports SOS projections and personalized welcome animations, enhancing both safety and luxury. It even has the capability to project videos, transforming the vehicle into a mobile outdoor cinema.
In terms of performance, the GX will be available in both all-electric (BEV) and extended-range (EREV) versions. The BEV model boasts a claimed range of up to 750 km (CLTC), while the EREV offers 320 km of pure electric driving. All variants feature dual-motor all-wheel drive and can reach a top speed of 200 km/h.
The SUV showcases a spacious six-seater layout, measuring 5265 mm in length with a 3115 mm wheelbase. Design elements include a yacht-inspired body, a clamshell hood, a split tailgate, and a panoramic glass roof. The GX combines minimalism with a bold, futuristic identity both inside and out.
Equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities and a next-gen steer-by-wire system, the XPeng GX aims to establish itself as a technology-driven flagship in the large SUV market.
