New Delhi, (Kiran News): Xiaomi is recalling 116,887 units of its SU7 Standard Edition electric sedan in China due to a fault in its assisted driving feature. The recall affects vehicles manufactured between 6 February 2024 and 30 August 2025, according to China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).

The Issue
Regulators revealed that some units fail to properly recognize, warn, or handle extreme navigation scenarios when the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) is active. This could potentially lead to accidents if drivers don’t intervene in time.
The affected feature is part of the car’s Level 2 assisted driving system. Xiaomi confirmed it will roll out a free software update via OTA to fix the problem.
Wider Impact
The SU7 Standard Edition is Xiaomi’s best-selling EV and part of its debut lineup in the automotive market. Since launch in March 2024, Xiaomi has sold around 3.4 lakh SU7 sedans in China across three variants.
This is not the first recall for the automaker. In January 2025, Xiaomi recalled around 30,000 units due to issues with its autonomous parking system, which caused unexpected collisions during parking.
Upcoming Update
Alongside the recall, Xiaomi said both the SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV will be upgraded to the latest Xiaomi HyperOS 1.10.0 software, bringing new refinements and improvements.
