Mumbai, April 14: Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI A7 Pro 5G in India, marking the introduction of the first “Pro” model within its entry-level REDMI A Series. This new device boasts a larger display, an enhanced battery, and the debut of Xiaomi HyperOS 3 in this segment.
The REDMI A7 Pro 5G features a 6.9-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, achieving peak brightness of 800 nits. The screen is equipped with DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, ensuring flicker-free usage and circadian-friendly viewing. Additionally, it incorporates Wet Touch Technology 2.0, allowing the display to respond accurately even when fingers are damp or oily. The device measures 8.15mm in thickness and weighs 210g, available in Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 6nm 2.2GHz octa-core UNISOC T8300 processor paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. It comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and offers storage options of 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The device also supports virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB. Connectivity features include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with GLONASS, Galileo, and BDS, along with a USB Type-C port.
The REDMI A7 Pro 5G runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, introducing features such as Google Gemini, Circle to Search, HyperIsland for multitasking, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity. Xiaomi promises four years of Android updates and six years of security updates.
For photography, the smartphone includes a 32MP rear camera with HDR+ and Night Mode, and an 8MP front camera equipped with beauty filters and Night Mode. Additional features include AI Sky and Document Mode. The device is powered by a robust 6,300mAh battery with 15W fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging, rated for 1,000 charge cycles and retaining over 80 percent capacity after four years.

The REDMI A7 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 11,499 for the 4GB + 64GB model and Rs. 12,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. It will be available starting April 15 through Amazon, mi.com, and retail stores, with options for up to three months of no-cost EMI.
