New Delhi, August 7: Women in New Delhi warmly welcomed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta following the implementation of the ‘Lakshmi Scheme’ by the Delhi Assembly. They adorned her with garlands and chanted slogans like “Long Live CM Rekha Gupta” in celebration.
Many women captured this joyous moment in photographs alongside the Chief Minister. Joining her were Delhi government ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ashish Sood, who also shared in the excitement of the occasion. The happiness on the faces of the women was evident as they celebrated the launch of the Lakshmi Scheme.
In an interview with a news agency, CM Rekha Gupta expressed her delight over the scheme’s implementation. She stated, “Today, we have fulfilled the promise made by the Delhi government to women. Their joy is immeasurable, and I am personally very happy. I find it hard to express my happiness in words.”
She further assured that the government would always stand by the dignity and respect of Delhi’s women. “I promise that there will be no compromise on their interests. Empowering them is our primary goal,” she added.
Minister Ashish Sood also expressed his happiness regarding the launch of the Lakshmi Scheme. He remarked, “Today is not just a day of words, but a day of action. People should see how, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, women will receive ₹2,500 in their accounts within just a year, which is being widely welcomed.”
