Mohanlal Begins Shooting for New Film L368 in Kochi
Malayalam actor Mohanlal announces the start of filming for his new movie L368, directed by Anoop Sathyan, in Kochi.
Kochi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has officially kicked off the shooting of his upcoming film, currently titled ‘L368’. Directed by Anoop Sathyan, the film’s production began with a traditional prayer ceremony in Kochi at the end of October 2026.
Mohanlal confirmed the news on his social media platform, X, stating, “Shooting for ‘L368’ is underway.” He tagged the entire team, including the director, in his post.
The launch event saw the participation of the film’s cast and crew, along with several celebrities. The film’s title, ‘L368’, is provisional, and it is being produced by Ashirwad Cinemas and Binu George Alexander. The music for the film is being composed by Jakes Bejoy.
The official launch was marked by Binu George Alexander’s mother lighting a traditional lamp, while Mohanlal himself clapped for the film’s first shot, much to the delight of those present.
In addition to the shooting announcement, the makers released the first look poster, featuring Mohanlal smiling with a young girl, while another child leans on his back, holding a paper toy.
The technical team behind ‘L368’ is robust, with Anoop Sathyan handling both writing and direction. Cinematography will be managed by Shehnad Jalal, while art direction is in the hands of Prashant Madhav, and stunts will be choreographed by Silva.
This film marks the second collaboration between director Anoop Sathyan and actor Mukesh, following the success of ‘Varane Avashyamund’. The duo, known for their chemistry on screen, last shared the screen in Priyadarshan’s comedy ‘Oru Marubhoomi Katha’ in 2011 and again in the 2014 film ‘Peruchazhi’.
