West Bengals Voters Ready to Say Goodbye to Mamata Banerjee: Yogendra Chandolia

New Delhi, March 31: BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia has made a bold statement regarding the upcoming elections in West Bengal. He noted that the Election Commission is working quietly to ensure a smooth electoral process in the state.

Chandolia emphasized that after 76 years of independence, it is unacceptable for any government to become so authoritarian that it forces political parties and the public to submit. He stated, “The people will choose whom they desire. However, Mamata Banerjee’s resorting to violence and intimidation clearly indicates her desperation to return to power.”

He further remarked that no administration can secure victory through coercion. The more oppressive the administration, the greater the public outrage will be. Given the current situation, he believes the people are ready to bid farewell to Mamata Banerjee and usher in a government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “Our delegation has reported her actions to the Election Commission. Our leaders will continue to voice their concerns to the Commission as needed,” he added.

Regarding the tragic stampede at Nalanda Temple, he expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life at a religious site. “The administration must remain vigilant, and visitors should also be mindful of their safety. I extend my condolences for this unfortunate incident,” he stated.

On the recent murder in Dehradun, he condemned the act, asserting that no murder is justifiable. He mentioned that the reasons behind the Brigadier’s murder will emerge during the investigation. However, he criticized the opposition for frequently questioning law and order. “No government neglects law and order; they are committed to maintaining it,” he said.

Commenting on the issue of Naxalism, Chandolia referred to Home Minister Amit Shah’s statements in Parliament. He questioned how Naxalism has persisted for so long after independence. He noted that many states have suffered from this issue. The Prime Minister and Home Minister have resolved to force Naxalism to its knees. “Today, Naxalism has significantly diminished. The Congress party has historically supported Naxalism. Their old strategy of divide and rule continues,” he added. He concluded by stating that the government aims to encourage Naxalites to abandon their ideology and reintegrate into mainstream society through dialogue.
