Kolkata, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : In Kolkata, West Bengal, a special initiative will take place to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has urged citizens to light ‘Blessing Lamps’ between 6 PM and 7 PM in honor of Modi’s service and to wish for his long life.
In a social media post, Adhikari highlighted that Modi’s journey of public service spans 25 years, beginning with his oath as Gujarat’s Chief Minister and culminating in his role as India’s Prime Minister. This significant milestone will be commemorated with the launch of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ on October 7.
Adhikari emphasized the importance of lighting the lamps to pray for Modi’s good health, allowing him to continue serving the nation for many more years. He called on every household, institution, monastery, and temple to participate in this heartfelt gesture.
Additionally, Minister Bhattacharya from the West Bengal government echoed the appeal, asking everyone to light a lamp at 7 PM to pray for the Prime Minister’s long and healthy life. He also encouraged public support for new initiatives aimed at the development of Bengal.
As the state prepares for upcoming by-elections in two constituencies, Bhattacharya assured that any form of violence would not be tolerated, insisting that the elections be conducted in a peaceful environment.
