Trump Conditions End of Military Involvement in Iran on Nuclear Guarantees

Washington, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : President Donald Trump announced that the United States could end its military involvement in Iran if it receives firm guarantees that the country will not acquire nuclear weapons in the future. Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump emphasized the need for assurance that Iran will not develop nuclear capabilities.

“We can leave right now, but we must ensure they never have nuclear weapons, and we will make sure of that,” he stated. When asked why he hasn’t declared victory despite claims that U.S. military efforts have prevented Iran from developing nuclear arms, Trump insisted that it is crucial to eliminate the threat permanently.

“I need to keep the situation this way. I don’t want to be back here in two years doing the same thing. We need guarantees that they won’t have that capability in the future,” he explained.

Trump’s remarks followed a speech in Clarksville, Tennessee, where he touted the military campaign against Iran as one of his administration’s significant achievements. He also acknowledged the loss of American lives in this conflict. “We have been in this struggle for seven months,” he noted, comparing it to past U.S. wars in Vietnam and Afghanistan while referencing the 18 American soldiers he claimed had died.

Addressing his supporters, Trump remarked, “Many of our people have been injured, but we have prevented them from obtaining nuclear weapons.” He shared that he had met with the families of fallen soldiers at Dover Air Force Base, describing those moments as among the most challenging responsibilities of his presidency.

Additionally, Trump asserted that the U.S. military campaign has severely diminished Iran’s conventional military capabilities, claiming significant damage to its navy, air force, radar systems, and various production facilities. He hinted that the conflict might conclude soon, which could provide substantial relief to the global oil market.
