Uttar Pradesh Transforms from Chaos to Celebration, Emphasizing Womens Empowerment: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the first day of Sharadiya Navratri by emphasizing the significant changes in women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance in Uttar Pradesh. He stated that the welfare schemes of the double-engine government are continually strengthening women’s empowerment, from maternal health to the bright futures of daughters.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’ on Sunday, Adityanath noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, the double-engine government has transformed Uttar Pradesh from a state of unrest to one of celebration. He highlighted that before 2017, many daughters found it challenging to step outside their homes, whereas today, they are contributing to the economy by working night shifts.

The Chief Minister pointed out that over 50% of the state’s startups are now led by women, and the female workforce participation rate has surged from 12% to over 36%. This growth is a clear indication of the increasing confidence among women and the expanding opportunities available to them.

He mentioned that the welfare initiatives of the double-engine government are consistently empowering women, from maternal health to the future of daughters. Programs such as the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’ and ‘Poshan Abhiyan’ have bolstered the health and nutrition of mothers and infants. Additionally, the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana’ and ‘Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana’ provide economic security for daughters.

Adityanath also highlighted initiatives like Mission Shakti, Operation Kayakalp, Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas, Safe City projects, the Rani Lakshmibai Scooty Scheme, and the Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Working Women’s Hostel, which are paving new paths for women’s education, safety, mobility, and self-reliance.

In his message, Adityanath referenced the ideal of Indian culture, “Yatra Narayastu Pujyante, Ramante Tatra Devataah,” embodying the spirit of reverence for women. He affirmed that the double-engine government is committed to realizing the vision of a ‘developed India and developed Uttar Pradesh’ through the mantra of ‘Empowered Women, Prosperous Uttar Pradesh.’
