Ahmedabad, June 1: In the IPL 2026 final, the Gujarat Titans (GT) faced the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and managed to score 155 runs for 8 wickets. Despite the team’s struggles, Washington Sundar made a significant impact with a half-century, setting a remarkable record.

Sundar has now reached the top of the list for players batting at number 4 or lower for the Gujarat Titans, having scored 50 runs on multiple occasions. He shares this honor with David Miller and Hardik Pandya, who have also achieved this feat three times each. Vijay Shankar and Shahrukh Khan follow closely in second place, each with two half-centuries from similar batting positions.

RCB, batting first after losing the toss, started poorly, losing their first wicket, captain Shubman Gill (10), in just 2.2 overs. They managed only 4 runs before Sai Sudharsan (12) also returned to the pavilion. Jos Buttler then formed a partnership with Nishant Sandhu, adding 29 runs for the third wicket off 26 balls, bringing the score to 55.
