Ahmedabad, June 1: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secured a stunning 5-wicket victory against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2026 final. Fans celebrated RCB’s consecutive title win with great enthusiasm.
In Karnataka, supporters lit fireworks to mark RCB’s triumph. They chanted “Kohli-Kohli” and “RCB-RCB,” expressing their confidence in RCB’s ability to clinch the title again after reaching the finals. In Dharwad, fans celebrated with a giant trophy to commemorate the win.
Delighted fan Dilkhush Parmar stated, “We are extremely happy about RCB winning the trophy for the second time. We are particularly thrilled for Virat Kohli. He played a fantastic innings in the final. He is rightly called the chase master.”
Perv Pandya remarked, “We had low expectations for RCB winning at Gujarat Titans‘ home ground, but they proved themselves champions once again. Virat Kohli is truly the king. Venkatesh Iyer from GT also won hearts.”
A female fan shared, “The final match was spectacular. RCB performed excellently throughout. It was a one-sided match. We came here to watch RCB’s batting. GT needs to improve their batting and bowling going forward.”
Tulsi, who traveled from Anand to watch the match, said, “Virat Kohli showcased an outstanding performance. The entire RCB team excelled in this match. Gill fought hard, and GT also gave their all.”
In the final held at Narendra Modi Stadium, GT scored 155 runs, losing 8 wickets, with Washington Sundar contributing an unbeaten 50 runs. In response, RCB chased down the target in 18 overs, with Kohli scoring an impressive 75 runs off 42 balls.
