Saran, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Late Saturday night, a violent clash in the Ekma police station area of Saran district, Bihar, led to the tragic deaths of three young men and left another seriously injured. The injured individual has been referred to the Patna Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment.
The incident occurred near the Parasa bend, between the villages of Pachhua and the Parsagadh market. The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Kumar Yadav (35), Mukesh Yadav (25), both residents of Pachhua village, and 22-year-old Ankur Kumar, also known as Dhoni, from Kashi Bazaar in Chapra. Ankur had been visiting relatives in Pachhua when the violence erupted.
Local residents reported that the trouble began earlier in the evening when a disagreement arose among some youths on the main road. Although the conflict seemed to settle down temporarily, it reignited later that night, leading to a violent confrontation involving physical assaults and stabbings. Ankur Kumar was fatally injured at the scene, while others were taken to a private nursing home in Ekma, where further clashes reportedly occurred. Those with severe injuries were subsequently transferred to Chapra Sadar Hospital, where Ramesh and Mukesh succumbed to their wounds.
Ram Balak Yadav, the officer in charge of Ekma police station, stated on Sunday that the initial investigation suggests the incident stemmed from a dispute over territorial dominance between two groups of youths. Authorities are currently examining all aspects of the case. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Ekma, along with police forces, visited the site and the hospital to oversee the situation. They confirmed that two individuals from one group and one from the opposing group were killed, and police are working to identify those involved for further action.
